I put poison in your cup

And sat back and watched

You gulp it down

Never wondering what would happen



I didn't really know

What the effects would be

I didn't know that you'd end up leaving me

And now you're gone forever



I couldn't bare it

I just could watch

You stand there drown

In your pitiful sorrows



I put some poison in your cup

And I drank it before you could

So now it's me who's leaving you

Just like you thought I would
