Fable (Not really a poem)
Flying with the crow
On a colorful mid-october afternoon, the sun stroke the field of a park in middle of Allende. A lonely crow stood by the tallest tree overlooking the entire park. Bugs were there too. Strong ants, agile piders, big worms, and of course the graceful lady bugs. The most prestigious family of this park, was of course the ladybug family however this did not avoid Miss Ladybug from dating one of the ants. Mr. Ladybug was not very happy about it and trust me when I say he was tough for a ladybug. He would rather have a flying ant dating his daughter, than just an ordinary working ant. Mrs. Ladybug did not have a say on this situation, but was happy for her daughter.
This couple would normally go out to nearby places, because the ant of course could not fly. They went to dinner by the fountain, walk around near the wormholes or watch the usual spider show. However they could not go the local chipmunk club bar because it was too far. Miss Ladybug really wanted to go, but it was out of the reach for the small non-flying ant. One day the ant went to the tallest tree and looked for the crow. To try to impress Miss Ladybug, the ant hired the crow to be their personal transport whenever they wanted to go far. The first dates with the crows help, were a success, and Miss Ladybug finally had a chance to go to the chipmunk bar she has always wanted to go. It turned out to be an even safer trip than just walking nearby Miss Ladybug’s house, as predators were usually on the ground. The crow behaved gallantly and respectfully with the ant and Miss Lady bug. However, one day Mr. Ladybug saw the couple arriving home mounted on the crow. He was surprised, angry, and at the same time annoyed by this fact so he immediately requested to talk to the ant. He stated that if the ant was going to date his daughter, he would not be riding a filthy crow and he wouldn’t put his daughter’s safety on the hands of someone else. The ant felt sad and unhappy because of this, and even though he loved Miss Ladybug, he would no longer be comfortable with her, after listening to her father's demands.
When the ant’s hope for convincing his father-in-law was nearly over, an unexpected event happened. While Mrs. Ladybug was flying through the park close to the bushes, one of her wings got stuck in a little branch. She panicked and tried to pull away, only to find that one of her wings was shattered. Mrs. Ladybug would never fly again over the park. This made her very sad as her family lived in the other side of the park. Mr. Ladybug was sad for her too and did not know what to do to make her feel better. He then remembered the crow and had to regret his own words. He would now trust the crow the transport of her wife. The ant and Miss Ladybug were able to use the crow as well again. That day he learned not to judge a situation too early as you don’t know when you are going to be in the same situation.”
