Nothing to Me

Surrounded by so many yet still alone

Heart full of longing

But made of stone

Strings cut free

But I am bound still

Alone in me

My darkness gets its fill

Locked outside this world

Forgotten and passed by

So I lock all out

So my heart can survive

I am just see thru

Another empty shadow

Without a name

Another forgotten face

With no home to claim

You see me forget me and move on

So lost in social media outlets

That you forget the things

That true friendship begets

You’re just another brick in the wall

Another face in the crowd

Another to be forgotten

And to forget me

Which is why your words

 Always mean nothing to me
