It keeps you alive
It keeps you nourished
It is a basic human need
It is at the core of your being
It can make you so happy
But you need it so bad
Will you ever get enough
To fill that need in you

Will I ever get enough
To satisfy that need
I could be with you every second
And be with you in every way
I can immerse myself in everything that is you
But it will never be enough
To fill my basic need for you
For everything that is you
For your soul, your core
These emotions are so strong
They are beyond love
My body hurts without you
My body hurts with you
But it’s not a physical thing
It’s not a mental thing
It’s every thing I ever wanted
It’s a basic human need

So it doesn’t matter what happens here
It will never be enough
If I’m with you every second of my life
Or with you in every way
I could be in you, on you, all around you
You could be in me, on me, all around me
I could have your whole mind and you have mine
I could have your whole body and you have mine
I could have your whole heart and you have mine
There is so much I want from you
It will never be enough
I will never have enough of you
To feed this insatiable need

I can’t believe this Ashley
How did I ever live before
My eyes have been opened
To what I really need
Sustenance, it’s all I need
But I will never get it
No matter what you do, or we do, or I do
No matter where we are in 20 years
Or whether we are together or not
I can’t fill this hole that has formed in my being
What I thought was full and satisfying
Is nowhere near enough
I can’t get enough of you Ashley
I need that sustenance
But it will never be enough
