I never imagined love would come to me running around toy-cars and Barbies. Dancing around Lego pieces and play-do many life-lessons arrived thru the smile of the sassiest doll. Always jumping around, always waiting for adventure she would change my day around with one of her many questions. Impatient and full of life this tiny darling goes around making fake parties feel like every-day life. She is not afraid, she is so brave and she will prove it to you, any stormy day. Well, she does not run away from rain, even makes it seem like drops of heavenly-tasting chocolate. She will kill all the bugs I do not like, all those that come along after hot rainstorms, insects I cannot dare to step on; but if I give her a small jar she’ll run around and save the pretty ones. And every time that lightning strikes she’ll get excited and throw a nervous smile. Once it gets dark, but of course, there she will be by a window, looking out, and waiting for that heavy picture flash. Both our big eyes, open way wider and look surprised, as that loud thunder sounds its way around. And by the end of such long day she manages to make me laugh all the stress away. This shorty friend sure troubles my head, when she is impatient and just won’t wait. She can’t be still or play the-quiet-game but somehow at the end of a long day I do not care. Her lovely smile melts me away, even asleep there is this lovely peace resting on her small round face. And when I see how much she resembles me, I don’t know why, (it might be self-importance) but it gives me joy and makes me feel “this special thing”. This little girl, looks just like me, it’s unbelievable, and how could this be? My little girl, my lovely niece! A part of me, an angel without wings. Just a small person that I adore, the one who thought me, something called love. Far or near, her warm hugs I can always feel, I try to keep those inside of me, next to some happy memories. I pull them out every time I need, to hear her voice and encourage me. I did not know love would come to me with one too many innocent questions, running around on tiny toes and a green skirt.
