Winding roads
meandering through.
Mornings washed
in sun and dew.
Fresh cut hay,
tall corn stalks.
Cow dotted landscapes,
leisurly walks.
Smogless air,
uncluttered streets.
Acres of grass,
less concrete.
Evergreens and oaks,
majestic tall pines.
Stand in the distance,
a country skyline.
Deer on your front lawn,
gopher in back.
Magazine of choice,
'Farmer's Almanac.'
Roadside stands
sell crop overload.
Most traffic caused...
tractors on the road.
Old farmhouses,
swaying porch swings.
Star-scaped skys,
cool evenings.
Ahhh, to live in the country,
slower paced ways.
Relaxing, refreshing
and lazy days.
This reminds me of when I lived in New Hampshire a wonderful state..
