Room,
twenty by twenty
swiftly shrinks
taking me along,
and inward.
Fifteen by fifteen,
air stiffles,
windows shatter,
panic, attacks
with a sinister vengence.
Ten by ten,
the shadows
lenghten and taunt
while they engulf
and smother.
Five by five,
no room to stretch,
too-long unfurled wings-
singed by hell's flickering fingers
in a death grasping.
One by One,
the seconds tick away,
taking along,
my very last
and final breath.
