I've dwindled down to nothing-
like a candle out of wax
and way past its wick,
I too, have become useless.
Tears have long now doused
any flame which burned within',
taking with it, desire and will,
leaving me in the duskiness of obscurity.
I have been made blinded
by the glare of darkness.
No more, can I see
through the denseness of my views.
Light no longer illuminates,
where only shadows can dwell.
And in their presence,
I have become, extinguished.
