Scattered haphazardly,
strewn here and there,
pieces of a puzzle,
in need of repair.
We sort them all out,
by colors and size.
To try and make it something,
we can recognize.
Starting with the borders,
we build a sturdy frame.
Not always an easy task,
when so many look the same.
We struggle with some,
just to make them fit.
But we must see it through,
once we decide to commit.
After a time,
things start to take form.
What before looked so crazy,
now looks of the norm.
We stand back and view it,
proud of the hardwork and strife,
it took to put together,
our jigsaw life.
