I view a new dawning day

like I never did before

I discover 'unknown'

then begin to explore.



I touch a flower

feel its early morning dew.

I hear a bird sing,

I learn a song I never knew.



I see a sunrise

as I absorb its heat.

I take a different path

walk down a new street.



I meet a stranger,

say, 'Hello.'

I watch a child,

before me, grow.



I taste a raindrop

quenching thirst.

I watch a cloud

storming to burst.



I take each of these moments

one at a time

cause I now realize,

life's much too short of sublime.
