When the person you love
Says that they hate you
Well, it's simple really
Or maybe it isn't
You pretend it's not true
But it comes back
You have to face it
You believe it
And it consumes you
Destroys you from the inside
Like an imploding star
You're worthless so you
Take it out on yourself
One cut or maybe four
There's blood but you want more
You try to believe it didn't happen
But the words cut deeper than a knife
Scarring you forever
Those words will never fade
They'll never go away
You'll always remember
How they cut out your heart
With the ease of breath
You realize there's nothing
Nothing you can do
so you take it all away
And you begin to fade
There's nothing left
But an empty husk
With holes that can't be filled
Fill but it will always leak
