In the night he comes
in my dreams.
He shows me love.
All my worries melt away
with the pain I feel in the day.
I know his love is real
and I know the love I for him I feel.
It hurts me to know
the pain he must feel.
When I push him away
during my painful day.
My only hope is that
he pushes back
and continues to show
how he loves me so.
Now let me remember
what is so clear in the morning light.
