A long time ago, on a sunny day, there was a horse by the name of Spe running on a path, he was desperate to arrive to a small town called Biur, in which he was going to reunite with his friends. In his path, he encountered an intersection, in the right, the path was dark and scary, he couldn’t see no more than his nose, but in the left path still was sunny with green grass, tall trees and a river running by the side of the road. In the middle, there was a blind owl named Lulu up in a rock, she hears the horse arriving and asks him,
- “Whose there?”
- “It’s me Spe the horse?”
- “Oh! Spe. Why the hurry?”
- “I am late, late at everything, I need to arrive at Biur asap, all my friends are reuniting there.”
After hearing that Lulu thought and with all his wisdom say “take the path on your right, it would be shorter than the one of the left.”
Surprised Spe replied.
- “But it’s dark and scary also why do I have to listen to you; also, the other path looks shorter and brighter and funnier; in the dark one it would take lots of time just to get through the fog.”
- “So then, what are you waiting for?” said Lulu “Hurry up and continue your way.”
Just before Lulu can say something else, Spe was already on his way, running as fast as he can, but in his way, he stumbles across many obstacles: not far from where Lulu was standing, he found some huge rocks blocking the path, he had to go around them by going into the river. When he was in the river, he discovered that it had a strong current, that keep pushing him back, he had to struggle a lot just to advance a few meters. When he finally got out of the river, he thought about Lulu and that probably this was the reason why she was telling him to take the other path.
It was starting to get dark and he still had a long way to go, so once again he started running to get to Biur on time. But as much as he tried he was already very tired because the rivers current and the previous run, so after a while he had to continue walking. By the time he arrived to the town, it was way pass bed time and his friends where no longer there.
They left a note on the stables saying: “Sorry not to see you, but we had to go, hope to see you son.”
