I grew out of the Grey,
The lines separating us
We’re what always held us together,
We met in the black and white hours
To hold what we had left,
You yelled and then screamed
That I should have done more,
But our war was over,
The fighting was what made me stay
And I never could quite get over that,
All those doors you slammed in on me
We’re built on a fundamental truth,
You loved me too much
Too fiercely
To let what we had go Grey,
So you caught spirits until you were red,
I still dream of you
In the black and white hours
But to be honest
I feel that I’m growing away from you,
And that’s ok
