Raggedy shoes move a raggedy heart
Through the motions on this day today
I tread softly through all the people
Making sure they don’t look my way

‘Cause if they looked then they could see
This raggedy heart beating inside of me

What good times we’ve had
Me and these raggedy shoes
When we would stand on tip toes
Reaching to kiss you

And I remember the times when it was just me and you
When you made me kick off those raggedy shoes

Now I can hardly pick up my feet
As we move aimlessly along
We’re like blind leading the blind
But these raggedy shoes stay strong

But if they had eyes then they could see
This raggedy heart beating inside of me
