Resting my eyes on the night
Feeling the warm breeze on my skin
I see a storm is on its way
I'll sit here 'til I have to go in

I am filled with emptiness
Trying hard not to think of you
And close the floodgate to my memories
That started on a night in June

Where did the time go?
It seems like we were just in love
All the days we didn't want to end
And the nights we couldn't get enough

We talked about our future
The one that never really could be
But I didn't know that then
And so I gave you everything

Now nothing's all I have left
And it's all that I feel inside
I'm wondering if ever again you will
Shine some light upon my life

I'm like dry leaves on the forest floor
And all I need is your spark
Until then I'll go about my days
Feeling my way through the dark
