There was a salient woman who lived down the lane
She had so many children, she forgot their names
Some were salutary and sedulous
Others saturnine or scurrilous
Somehow they mananged to stick together
Like a family should, birds of a feather
Although they didn't openly practice sedition
All knew of a secret they'd hidden within them
They knew that the woman was a savant in the field
Of nuclear physics and all persons must yield
Before entering their home to announce a shibboleth
What the password was was anyone's guess
All the neighbors around were sentient
They shared a feeling the kids were in on it
On a secret plan no one else could know
That their sanguine traits did not show
The rumors had spread like a whispering sibilant
They began from reliable sources, sapient
But as soon as shards of the story were modified
The people of the town were completely horrified
So as they heard the lies, they stood in awe
And lost all handle on their usual sang-froid
They'd heard that the family was planning to attack
On our own home land instead of Iraq
But the family soon got wind of this, hence
They gathered their neighbors and declared it nonsense
The family revealed what they didn't expect
The children's teacher had assigned them a project
A science project to generate electricity
Using minimal devices, the key was simplicity
The family explained that they kept it a secret
So no other students could possible steal it
Then as the crowd looked on in a marvelled state
They were pleased to see the lightbulb scintillate
