Dissolution

You thought that things would be different

But it always ends up the same

One drunken night can leave a gap

In the hearts of friends again

When all partake in a shot of truth

Hidden feelings may be exposed

Suddenly we're not who we were

With each sip, friends become foes

A lack of control is evident

Speaking words that should not be said

Some things happen for a reason

Words were stirring in your head

Do not disregard your dormant thoughts

They hold meaning beyond what's known

Instead oblige to your instincts

And you won't let yourself down

Although friends may go their separate ways

Just remember the times you shared

Moving on is a part of life

And doesn't mean you didn't care
