'Til The End

Folder:
2007

I was traveling down a lonesome road

I had time to spare and no place to go

That's when I met you, with your hand outreached

So I followed to see where you would lead

I kept eye on your steps ahead of me

Trudging over sharp rocks and fallen trees

Because unaffected and strong you seemed

The trail of red must have come from me

I became weary, but you held my hand

And there were times I wanted to turn back

Our trip was longer than I expected

You reassured me that it was worth it

Suddenly you stopped, the trip was over

But our surroundings were not of splendor

Then, as you smiled and looked in my eyes

I knew, all along, it was paradise

Looking back on our path of smiles and tears

Everything we've been through all of these years

Despite what's been lost, we have surely gained

Because we had each other 'til the end
