Walking Away

Old Poems

The rain echoed off the pavement.
Cold rain rolled feircly down my cheeks, and
there you stood.... Staring at
me with those eyes....
Those eyes...
The expression on your face needed no words.
The air between us was so empty.
Filled only by sheets of rain
I watched as you slowly walked towards me
Closing the distance...
Your warm fingers carressed my skin.
Tears swelled painfully in both our eyes
I pulled you in closer to me...
For the last time
kissed your face softly like the
rain that poured on us.
Didn't want to let go...
tears fell fast to the ground.
I saw your mouth move to make words..
though they were silent to the pattering of the rain
I heard them...
I felt them....deeply in my heart.
watching the pain in her eyes made my soul scream.
I closed my teary eyes tightly,
pulled her lips to mine,
and tasted them for the last time.
She began to walk away, still facing me
our hands remained together till
the last moment of our parting...
the rain mixed with the salty drops
flowing from my eyes...
as i watched you .....
disapear into the rain
walking away...forever...
walking away agian...
