Election 2020

Some days we sit idle.

     But not today.

Can we stand to lose

the rights we need to hold

our heads high, our bodies ours,

our freedom? I won’t let myself lose

my ability to have a voice

in this world. I will shove

my vote into the ballot box

and I will be heard.
