a timeless world we lived in
a dream without a care
a silly, wrong assumption
that you'd always be there
it started in an instant
I thought it would never end
I didn't know the time was short
that I would get to spend
nights seemed to last forever
the TV flickered on and on
the sun came up then set again
and then it all was gone
distance came between us
so many things we couldn't save
if I should die before you
put the letter on my grave
