Looking into the evening sky I feel empowered,

I momentarily forget how my soul has been devoured,

I feel fresh as I tip my head to the clouds above,

And I feel enlightened by the thoughts of love,

Remembering bittersweet goodbyes and last kisses,

How much my heart aches and how much it misses,

The touch of the only One I ever loved,

But how much it longs for the touch of the one for who, I gave it up...



Just to be held again beneath the midnight sky,

Or feel his hand touch mine as we walk by,

To have him giggle and tickle me like he used to do,

Or eat everything on my plate before I could count to two,

I'd give it all. I'd give it all away.

Just to share his heart and his love for one more day.
