I know how much you're hurting inside,

Your eyes are bleeding red from all the tears that you've cried,

We've both suffered in our lives so Goddamn much,

And when things start going right for once,

It all gets turned around and again we're out of touch.



Having a parent leave you is so very hard to bear,

And when you're a young child it's so easy to be scared,

I see it in you still, today, that you're still so terrified,

But please just trust in me that I can help you,

I know just how you're feeling inside.



When he left us, I was just the same,

I had nowhere to turn to, so I hid my pain,

I came to my own conclusions in the end,

Of what, how and why had happened to my friend,

But you have someone baby, you have me.

And I know it's so much easier to hide and let it be.



But if you're ever needing someone,

To cry with, to talk with or to fight,

Then just come to your Susie,

And I'll try make you feel alright.
