the people who make you laugh
are not at all what they seem
they have stories that sadden
they live to make others smile
because they were unable to do so...
their lives were shadowy
they all have terrible ghosts
they're crying on the inside
wanting to cry on the outside
but they're afraid that you'll see
they dont wont you to know about their dark past;
about the abusive fathers who beat them without mercy,
about the screaming mothers who never understood,
about feeling so unwanted and being left empty
or about the loneliness that they have dealt with for so long
they hide the horrible truths
so your job is to love them, to hold them close
not to hurt them like others have
all they need is someone to care
so smile for those who are crying on the inside
