Our Inner Killer
A killer is born, never made. A killer’s restraint depends on ours in everyday social interactions. Depending on how far one has already been pushed closer and closer to the edge indicates when our twisted inner selves emerge. And when they do, it's never pretty. It could be said each and every one of us are born killers. Born with our own twisted side. It is an entity that exists across the spectrum of the human psyche, waiting patiently for a chance to violently emerge at our weakest moment. That one moment we just can’t fight it anymore. Keeping this inner monster from escaping our strongest grasp relies simply on us. That one wrong doing you commit, the smallest, or even accidental, just may drastically be turned against you in the cruelest of ways. From words to things many people have done, and to this day, regret (most likely are forced to regret). We are all born killers. Whether or not we carry out this inevitable side of us depends on how thick our shells are, and everyone’s restraint on tapping this shell. But if we don’t hold back, this shell will eventually break and that evil metaphorical inner yolk is gonna plop out the moment it sees its chance. And it’s not something you want to encounter. Once it escapes our control, having had its shell inadvertently broken by its enemy, it will seek what it feels is justice. And it won’t stop until it either bestows this justice, or is stopped by its opponents “other side” which has emerged to defend its carrier. In the end it’s up to everyone to know ones limits and keep this vengeful side of us contained. We fight it every day, and even though we don’t know it, we are preventing it from coming out and reaping havoc on those who are responsible for breaking its shell. If you fail and it does get out, just remember it’s you who brought it on. Respect your fellow man, or one day, the most unexpected of days, I guarantee you, this monster will break free and come for you. And when it does, it could quickly end in bloodshed...
We are all given a choice to
We are all given a choice to live in fear, or accept our karma come what may. People nowadays spazz the hell out about nothing at times. That's what drive bys are....home invasions, car jackings, and even the everyday "bully" who doesn't even see they are being a bully. Call me crazy but I think our destruction of the earth's atmosphere has corrupted our connection as a species to the universe. We have made ourselves so separated from what has total control over us, that a growing majority has simply gone berserk.
Happy surviving. Don't sweat it. No one has any control.
Btw, you write well... but I am sure you know that.

"No", she replied, "but I have experienced it. "
