Lately each night
When I go to sleep
That Energizer Bunny
Turns into a creep
When I close my eyes
While lying in bed
That stupid rabbit
Pops into my head
He bangs on his drum
And runs all around
Just driving me nuts
With that booming sound
He flaps his hind paws
Like he’s going somewhere
Spins round and comes back
And then, starts to glare
He gives me that look
As if trying to say
“I don’t need more power”
“I can run night and day”
Just like that commercial
He goes on and on
But as morning arrives
It’s no longer fun
One night I’ll catch him
As he comes pass
And rip those Energizers
Right, out of his ass
I’ll shove some Coppertops
Right up, where the Energizers should be
I know that
Will drive him crazy
Then I’ll have a chuckle
As his tail starts to unwind
And those new Coppertops
Drive him out of his mind
Then I’d be contented
As he zoom’s out of sight
So I can at last
Get some sleep, at night
