Our being, not the birthed human, will never have an end
We come to this place and time; so this life, we can transcend
Our essence, will go on in perpetuity; so we always will exist
Why this short existence, why this earthly place; this is our gist
To what end, must we as humans; this mortal life, thus undertake
To find a hidden meaning, or some incontrovertible difference make
We are conceived here, so we can leave our mark; to our ambitions chase
And so to love, to care, to learn; but above all, this creation to embrace
So throughout our existence as humanity, we must strive
Help each other to subsist, to prevail, and so to thrive
Then, when our time arrives, we ascend to live forever
To contemplate, refresh and nurture our endeavour
We shed our human being, to then become celestial
Where we live among the cosmos, no longer a terrestial
So we join the souls that have preceded us; not as our curse
But a covenant, creating this never ending, always expanding universe
