To hide in the shadows
not knowing where to go
I walk afraid to turn around as if I may
see a ghost,
I don’t know why I feel so afraid
maybe because there I am alone,
or because I lost something precious to
me,
my legs feel as heavy as stone,
my body feels like ice,
my hair is the color of the rain
it blends in with the dew drops on the
spider-webs
which lye on the leaves on the trees in
the baron forest,
I see a clearing in the distance…
Do I run for it
do I wait for it to come to me
a drop of pure rain water falls on my eyelash
and I know that to reach the clearing I must run.
I am running although I feel the presence of someone there
I keep my faith
I feel my heart beating faster and faster
as my feet hit the ground
:: thump thump:: SPLASH!
The rain falls harder and I find the clearing
and now I have reached my destination
only to find myself in the place I started out before,
but now I am not afraid,
Because I now know where I am,
and I now know where I belong.
