Silence

And silent was the world when ovens wide

Where masterminded and the hellish flame

exuding  miasmic stench of cyanide

Marked humankind with everlasting shame.

Silence

Can be blessed!

To nourish of the Spirit,

The source and well spring of being,

To gather strength for more fruitful labor,

And to expand the soul?s power

To radiate fully,

Most blessed is

Silence

Silence

Can be monstrous!

When protest should be heard,

And the loud outcry of outrage

Should be heard in all corners of the world,

The unforgivable Auschwitz

Branded the human race,

By infamous

Silence.
