Open Letter to Mel Gibson
We give the Lord our fervent thanks and laud,
For giving us Mel Gibson’s timely play
Behold the world in reverent awe applaud
This present day and many a future day.!
May God increase his strength against the foe,
And lend him sinews tough and strong like steel
And make in single-mindedness him grow
So he may joyfully fulfill your will!
In all your doings Mel be blessed! be blessed!
Be your inheritance abundant grace,
Be shielded from the treacherous hornets nest
That plagues and vexes champions in their race.
Behold! the countless many in this land
Are by your art so very deeply moved,
Oh may it roll on every continent
To tell how deeply our Savior loved.
Be blessed Mel Gibson! - our thanks to you!
Praise to your dedicated wondrous art!
Oh champion most valiant,- "Brave Heart" true,
Let it be known to you goes out our heart!
May God, Our Savior, take you by the hand
And lead on sunny days and days of rain,
So erring natios come to understand
The depth of Savior's love and pain.
Rejoice! to see the multitude impressed
By your great talent and accomplishment,
That leads so many souls to find their rest
