There's a burning in my chest
a fire in my veins
flowing through my muscles
coursing to my brain.
A roaring fills my ears
fire sears my soul.
Redness clouds my gaze
my vision
a bloody haze.
Time itself cowers before the storm that's building.
Time itself slows
my heart beats yet faster.
The tide is rising
the clouds turning black.
I'm too commited
there's no turning back.
The fires come together
my will goes slack.
The light goes out
my world becomes black.
