Thoughts on the Media

Under God It amazes me that the media is sometimes referred to as our fourth branch of government. It confuses me that they claim to represent the wants and needs of the people. Why am I so amazed you ask? This is why: not once have I ever been encouraged, asked, or even allowed to vote for a chief anchor. There has not been one election for who will report the news, let alone what they report. It seems to me they just want influence.
It amazes me that our media would suck the blood of our government, capitalize on the folly of the famous, and seek out tragedy; all in the name of a good rating. Yes, they claim to be “keeping them honest”, but who, pray tell, is keeping them honest?? They continue to degrade souls so that they may capitalize on society’s degradation.
It annoys me that so much good news goes unreported. Our media ignores progression and focuses on oppression, they focus on pain and ignore prosperity, and they bring to light economic recess without addressing the financial process.
God help our media, please.
