The Legend 3

Folder:
Legends and Heroes

He’s laying out his life

In the palm of The Creator’s hand

He stands at 5’11”

But he stands highest in our band

Teaching us the ways

Of righteousness and love

Every week we come and see

This witness to Him Above

He fights the forces of evil

With peace that passes understanding

Teaching us to fight with forces

Unworldly powers that are so outstanding

Many critics stand in his path

Trying to get his mouth to defuse

But his mouth is no longer his

But His above to spread this news

To the youth of the nation

And to the men and women the same

God’s tool by choice

Preacher is his name.

Author's Notes/Comments:

Here's a poem to continue what is now a series on heroes.  This poem is about the undying faith of a minister of God. (In loving memory of Dr. Jack Hyles)
