the day has fell flat upon me and i have no umbrella
my mind is fogged by material obstacles
my hands are actively working on bigger accomplishments
i reap nothing so far
i hold the key and unlock the door
it falls

glass shatters and my heart bleeds out everything i've held in
i have hurt the one i love
because i am selfish and cannot see beyond today
