Look at me
As you walk past
In the busy street.
Glance at me
Then turn away
In embarrassment
Scrutinise my appearance
Judge me
By my clothes.
View me
As you view
The rest of them.
Scorn me,
For the way
I dress.
Gape in my direction
When presuming
My circumstances.
Stare at me,
My dirty garments,
My grubby face.
Ignore me
As you overlook
The empty hat
Lying at my feet.
