My Dream!

Nothing breathes like a dream or succeeds like success.

But in the ghetto to have a dream is to truly be blessed.

Should I attest to the stress of this man-made mess?

Or settle for less, lest I digress and rise above the rest.

I’ll be back though for the po’ folks livin’ life broke.

Engulfed in a lack of options, alcohol, and weed smoke.

Where do G’s go when material wealth is all we know?

I’m the seed that was planted that they said wouldn’t grow.

But hope floats, my great-grandma a former slave told me so.

Love lifts us up where eagles fly and clear winds blow.

Separated, segregated and torn apart by greed.

Look in the mirror and find the true cause for the deed.

Pause for the need, or we shall bleed like we bled in the past.

My race, the human race, will be destroyed by wrath.

You do the math, the other half is what it takes to make us whole.

Or this world will have a soul as cold as the North Pole (My Dreams)

It’ll blur your sight, to the point you need some love in your life.

Loneliness is a state of mind so close to insanity.

Its only purpose to reiterate the importance of family.
