Darkness my sweet darkness

Take me away on this weary night

Take me away before the morning light

Take me to a place without all these lies

To a place where I don’t have to cover my eyes



Darkness my sweet darkness

You are the only one who whipe away my tears

The only one to take away all my fears

You help me outdistance my pain

Without you my darkness, I would go insane



Darkness my sweet darkness

I long for the night where I’m free to wander in my dreams

Take me to a place where nothing is as it seems

I am so lost and emty inside

Take me to a place where I don’t have to hide



Darkness my sweet darkness

I can feel the cold blade on my skin

I feel all the anger and hurt evolving within

I no longer feel that I want to stay

Slowly I feel all my pain silently fading away



Darkness my sweet darkness

I seek my final peace in you

This is the last thing I need to do

This is it.. I have lived my last day

Darkness my sweet darkness you took me away!
