Heaven is a place
I have always wanted to go
I could see your face
I could see your glow.
You would sit next to those lost
And those waiting to be found
It wouldn’t seem such a cost
For you to have entered the ground.
You would be smiling with Him
Your father and all
My life would seem less grim
My loss would seem so small.
Oh Heaven is a place
That I can’t quite be
As it leaves no trace
And no entrance to see.
Still, I long for the day
I can join you and when
