Happiness and hope were best friends of mine
we were peas in a pod
But then the bullet hit my heart
it was bleeding a lot

now I need them the most, but my friends have left me
Happiness left, and took hope with her

After the shot, they were trying to cheer me up
we danced all night, and drank an awful lot
But the morning, there was still no smile, and they left
you know, I was always there for you guys
Turned you from doom and gloom to happiness and hope
But now fuck it all
Happiness left, and took hope with her

Now you see why I am the way I am
Because they left me, they are no more
they weren't welcome as soon as they closed the door
Now i'm crying because it's four
and Happiness left, and took hope with her
and they're never coming back...
