Eight years of age
lively screeching
Happily living
Amongst a family
It wished to be free
Perch on a tree
Spread its wings
See new things
Its "owners" selfish
A wild cat struck
At dead of night
Freeing it from cage
Owners suffered
From grief and rage
I thanked ooperwalla
For freeing its bondage
(written for a pet caged parrot)
