MONK
////////
Casting aside family and friends
A "family monk" seeks peace.....
On the old,dusty marble steps
Squatting and thinking - eyes closed
Mind working overime
Dwelling in the vastness
Of "realization" which eludes
Hunger and thirst comes and goes
Along with them his worldly woes
Unshaven,unbathed, clothes in rags
The pilgrims come along gives food
An earthen pitcher and clay cup
Someone fills it with drinking water
A cool sip makes him feel better
In a few months "monk" leaves
He now looks for a quieter place
Under a tree he sits for six months
Again the "pilgrims" give food,water
He climbs onto a lonely hilltop
Trying to find out the reason
Of existence and other things
Even here pilgrims follow him
They build a home for him
Calling it a place of worship
Food and water follows the "monk"
Two long years pass by...
Monk looks around him - sees nothing
The world became "blind" to him
He comes back to his "family"
And he is now blindly serving
