Music man
I quit my job on saturday
got drunk and
drove home.
I woke up sunday,
it was fathers day.
We went out to breakfast
across the street.
My dad said,
"I'm feeling lucky,"
We played keno
and he won $410.
"We're going to buy a computer,"
he then said.
Spoiled rotten
sick to my stomache
head spinning in circles
The old man got me a computer
on fathers day of all days
and I had nothing
to give to him.
Step out for a smoke.
it's hot
and I have a hangover.
Yesterday I had an appointment
with a school, to gather
information.
I showed up 15 minutes early
and sat in my car
with the windows down.
I watched all these obese
older women pull in and
go into the school.
Many were standing outside
waiting for something.
I didn't want to go in.
I was afraid of something
and at 3:15
the time of my appointment
I got out of my car
and walked into guitar center
right next door.
I bought a strap and
a pair of headphones.
After that I was out of money.
so i drove to Fenton
to get one of my last paychecks.
only $58.
do you see why I quit?
I drove back to best buy
right next door to the school
and guitar center
and bought a computer program
for recording music.
I am the music man
and it looks like
i'll be making a cd soon.
