Fairy Meals.

I’ve often watched the fairies eat,

dainty cakes and pastries so sweet.

They also eat fruit when it is ripe,

mince meat, pheasants not to forget tripe.

Fairy wines are of course home made.

they even give some to the fire brigade.

Fairies you know eat very little,

that is why their bones are so brittle.

All fairies have to learn first aid,

strangely enough no mistakes are made.

Fairies are all in good health,

they care little for riches and wealth.

All in all they live a carefree life,

there are no quarrels or petty strife.

I say a happy fairy life for me,

knowing full well it cannot be.

I too eat very, very well,

why you may see my belly swell.

If the fairies invite you to a meal,

gracefully accept it is no big deal

For fairy wands conjure up food,

especially when hungry and in a good mood.

Eat and drink for there is plenty more,

the fairies are generous that’s for sure.
