Secret Attack.

No one expected anything like this to happen. All over the world large telescopes were trained on to space. The first thing that was noticed by the telescopes was that a huge cloud of something was slowly but surely descending into out sector of space. This huge cloud was of various colours and not even the most powerful telescope could show what the cloud was composed of it drifted as if it was being steered in the direction of Earth.

Other planets that were in its path slowly discoloured Jupiter was not showing any of its moons it was as if the cloud had blotted out the light coming from the moons. Slowly but surely it descended on Mars. Mars turned from a pale red to a dark green in colour. The cloud advanced it seemed as if there was no stopping it.

 The only space vehicle that the earth possessed was authorised by the World Government to fly to the cloud to see first what it was composed of and to see whether any of the chemicals known to man would be effective in combating this cloud.

Volunteers were called for. The world was in a state where there was no lack of volunteers. Quickly the space vehicle was equipped with special cannons that could fire shells composed of chemicals. New suits made especially for the crew of the space vehicle were delivered and the space port was surrounded by news reporters and cameras. Everyone wanted to see what this space thing could do. The crew went aboard and hundreds of comers watched the take off. The take off went smoothly and was soon out of sight to the watching crowds.

Aboard the vehicle members of the crew tried out all of the new weapons. The pilot pushed the engines to their full power and the cloud now covered all of the space that they could see. One chemical shell was fired into the cloud after the other. It seemed useless shell after shell burst but made no difference to the cloud. One of the crew had an idea that made some of the other crew member’s smile. His idea was to urinate into the shells and fire the urine with a small charge of gunpowder into the cloud. To their surprise as the urine shells burst the cloud started to dissipate. Soon the cloud looked as if it was eating itself. This encouraged the crew members and they drank all of the liquid on board. Soon Mars was to be seen in all of its well known red, then the cloud died off in its entirety soon the space was as it was before the cloud spread all over the known galaxies.

Now the crew members saw the space ships from an Alien race it was they that had developed the cloud and sent it out into the universe. They had not reckoned with the ingenuity of the earth men and their capability to try any thing in their desperation to get themselves out of trouble.
