Hot day in Summer.
The sun shone and the heat rose in the woods. Most of the Fairies were sitting near the river where it was a little cooler. It was here where I saw the man in he yellow trousers. The man was holding a special camera and was so concentrated on his camera that he did not see or hear me approach. I silently watched him for a while and then I saw that he was photographing the Fairies. This I thought would not do why the woods would be overrun with people looking for Fairies. The wild animals would not be able to go about their daily business with so many people disturbing the peace of the woods.
I decided that this was a job for the Fairies themselves did they not realise the danger they were in? A friendly wren settled on my finger and I asked her to take a message to her Majesty for me. About five minutes later the all too familiar blue flash told me that Her Majesty had arrived. Her Majesty and I spent a little time watching the man with the camera. Her Majesty put a small golden whistle to her lips and blew into it. I heard nothing but all the fairies stopped what they were doing, then one after the other they quietly disappeared. I explained to her Majesty that normal camera’s could not be used to take pictures of fairies but this new camera that the man in the yellow trousers was using was a new camera and I was not sure of what the man was photographing but the camera was always pointed at a fairy or fairies that is what made me ask the wren to take a message to her Majesty for me.
We discussed what should be done. Her Majesty did not want to destroy the man’s camera at the same time she did not want the Fairies home to be overrun with people looking for Fairies not to mention the animals such as the deer with their young even the fox with its cubs and especially the vixen all wanted quiet to get on with their lives. Then her Majesty had an idea. A wave of her magic wand and all of the cameraman’s photos turned from pictures of fairies to leaves of different trees. So were the Fairies safe for another period until someone else found a way to photograph Fairies, I hope that someone perhaps you will be able to help the Fairies, Myself I am a little too old to really be of mush use but you young people are possibly the ones to be able to let the fairies live in peace. This world would be a terrible place to live in without the Fairies colouring the trees the flowers and all of the living plants. I myself could not imagine a grey world I like all things colourful and I am sure you all do as well. Bern
