Granny And The Fairies.

My Granny came to visit me in my old house,

She got on very well with my family mouse.

Granny saw my fairies straight away,

She loves to watch them as they play.

Granny is still a very young person in heart,

Fairies in her life have always played a part.

She sometimes sees Angels hovering over Peoples heads,

especially if they are ill or sick and lying in hospital beds.

Guardian Angels she tells me are everywhere,

It is their duty for the lonely people to care.

When Granny first saw the Fairy Queen,

A lovelier person she had never seen.

The two of them spoke together all of the day,

I myself you know; I was just in their way.

The Fairy Queen invited Granny to the Fairy Ball,

You must really come and bring your friends all.

Granny has promise that she will come again soon,

She will help the Fairies when they clean the moon.

I have told you before that fairies clean the stars,

Fireflies accompany them in little glass jars.

I know my Granny would like to meet you all,

                                      perhaps, who knows, at the next Fairy Ball
