Mouse Love.
One of my little mice has fallen in love.
No, not with a mouse, but with a turtle dove.
It is the daftest thing you ever will see,
With him on the ground and her in a tree.
She coos and turtles all day long.
He just cannot join in the song.
What ever I do she will not fly away.
My mouse is tongue tied with nothing to say.
It is the saddest case I have ever seen.
So I asked for help from the Fairy Queen,
With one wave of her wand so magic,
My mouse now has wings it is not so tragic.
He flew to her high in the tree,
and that is how it should be.
I now will bring my short story to an end,
Before you all think I am around the bend.
