Imagine if…
In a tone of darkness
I sit and wish for light,
For when a mind is broken
It is easy to lose sight.
Hands across my forehead
Another day I face.
Bitter taste across my tongue
Against this human race.
Mind games are a plenty
I know that I am ill.
Snorted too much coke
Through a twenty dollar bill
Money in the city
It really can be rich.
You become a wealthy man
Who seeks an ignition switch.
But life it takes its toll
For when you reach the top,
All that is really left
Is that potential drop.
Life is oh so sweet
Like bees with plenty honey,
Cocaine is telling you
You are earning to much money.
So I sit in the oval office
And yes! I do command respect,
But I have to get my act together ,
After all…
I am the president elect!
Imagine if…
