The Greenery

Standing strong

Giant structures

Artless forms

Reaching high

Towards the heavens!

Looking down upon men,

Builders of the edifice

Standing now as ants.

At the mercy of the framework

Of steel, stone, and sand,

With copper cable veins

One after another

Each looking quite the same.

Spreading their shadows

Where light had long since been

Their glassy surface

A thousand mirrors, witnessing the scene.

Spreading in the distance

With an occasional gleam,

Stealing the greenery from

The green.
